AMERICORPS HOST SITE
Host one or more full-time members of the Imagine Justice AmeriCorps team. These national service volunteers provide direct service to youth and young adults in youth-serving nonprofit organizations across Pierce County.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM:​

501(c)3 or public entity
-
Serve Pierce County youth and/or young adults ages 12-24
-
Capacity to provide AmeriCorps supervision and coaching

Currently or able to start tracking participant data

Commitment to anti-racism and cultural responsiveness
-
Impact one or more positive youth development domains: caring, confidence, connection, competence, character, contribution
-
Commitment to treat AmeriCorps members fairly, with respect, and as equal team members

PREFERRED

Serve justice-involved or at-risk youth
-
Serve BIPOC youth and/or other vulnerable populations and/or populations disproportionately represented in the justice system

Priority for organizations that are led by people of color or women
COMMITMENTS

Sliding scale financial contribution based on organization size (from $2,500 – $10,000)

In certain cases, the financial contribution can be waived. If this is a barrier for your organization please reach out.

Provide supervision and coaching to AmeriCorps member(s)

Attend required host site activities (approx. 1 hour per month)

Support recruitment of AmeriCorps members

Sign partnership agreement with Imagine Justice Project

Provide necessary equipment and supplies

Host the AmeriCorps member for one (1) full service year. (Late August - Mid July)
